The 'Halo' movie has it on till the break of dawn

4 hrs.

This is first real look at what we can expect from "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn," and after watching the ?trailer above,?I'm expecting a lot. This live-action series will appear on Machinima Prime and on Halo Waypoint Oct. 5,? so mark your?calendars, "Halo" fans.

The story follows a group of 18?young cadets at the?beginning?of the war with the Covenant to the events of "Halo 4." These?cadets are the next generation of?soldiers?for the UNSC who get thrown into the war. The main character will be Thomas Lasky, who becomes inspired by the Master Chief's example as he struggles with his ability to be a leader.

The?series?is being directed by Stewart Hendler and is being written by?Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing. From what we can see in the trailer, the acting looks decent and the production values solid (though some of that armor looks a bit too clean to me.) ?I like the tone set in the trailer, and I think it offers the?feeling we should have?gotten?from "Halo: ODST," a mix of "Starship Troopers" and "Battlestar Galactica."

The extended 90-minute Special Edition will be out Nov. 6,? with video on-demand services and in the "Halo 4: Limited Edtion" game.
