Thornton, Colorado-based Ascent Solar announced this morning that it has been selected to provide its flexible, thin-film photovoltaic modules for a pilot application in China, at manufacturer Foxconn. Ascent was sketchy on the details of the win and how exactly its modules will be used, but said that the modules will be used in a "pilot application" at Foxconn's new factory in Zhenzhou City, Henan Province, China. Ascent Solar say sits thin-film modules are ideal for building materials, portable consumer electronics, and other applications.
